On Sunday, Sept. 3, at approximately 9:25 p.m., Bridgeton police responded to Mount Vernon Street on for a report of a gunshot victim, Bridgeton police said.
Police found the victim, identified as Brian Pineda, who resided at the residence, suffering from gunshot wounds, tney said.
Officers immediately attempted live-saving efforts until Bridgeton Fire Dept. EMTs arrived. The victim did not survive and was pronounced dead a shot time later.
No arrests had been made.
Detectives from the city police department and the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office are continuing the investigation.
